Transnational Project Meeting was held in Konya / Turkey
At the transnational project meeting, presentations were made on sustainable agricultural activities and good practice examples. One of the project partners, Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin AKSOY was visited and consultations were held on climate change and sustainability activities. Selcuk University Advanced Technology Research and Application Center (ILTEK) was visited; In addition to the physical and chemical analyzes carried out in ILTEK Laboratories to determine the contents, information was obtained about molecular biology and biotechnology-based recombinant DNA studies, micro RNA, human cell culture, protein, gene, fermenter and imaging studies, and microbiological analyzes. Field visits were made by examining the sustainability studies carried out in the greenhouses of the Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture, the exemplary cooperative model and sustainability model in sustainable agriculture in Çumra Sugar Factory (Konya Şeker-TORKU), and the studies on preventive agriculture in İçeri Çumra Agricultural Development Cooperative. Opinions of the participants were taken and different applications were compared. Thus, the development of cooperation between the partners, the formation of new sectoral networks and the learning of good practices in agricultural production were ensured. In addition, the formation of socio-cultural solidarity between the countries, the learning of different cultures, and the formation of permanent and sustainable ties between the partners have been ensured.
Project coordinator Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry made a general evaluation of the project, and the next road map of our project was determined by discussing the outputs obtained about the best practices of each country in sustainable agriculture. A certificate of participation and a plaque were given to the project partners by Konya Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Ali ERGİN. Turkey activity of the project has been successfully completed.
A total of 18 people, 4 people from Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, 3 people from Konya-Karaman Agricultural Cooperative, 1 person from Deula Nienburg and 2 people from each partner from other project partners, attended the Transnational Project Meetings.
At the meeting held at Selcuk University on 23.11.2022; University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin AKSOY also participated. He talked about the activities of Selçuk University on climate change and sustainable agricultural activities.
