University of Cordoba / Spain TPM
Transnational Project Meeting of our project named “Sustainable Agriculture and Life & Living Soil” numbered 2019-1-TR01-KA202-076825, which is being carried out under the coordination of our Provincial Directorate within the scope of Erasmus+ Vocational Education Strategic Partnership projects. Meeting- TPM) was held between 22 – 26 November 2021, hosted by our Spanish partner, University of Cordoba.
In this project; Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry from Turkey, Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture, KOP (Konya Plain Project) Regional Development Administration, Konya Karaman Agricultural Cooperatives Regional Union, Cordoba University from Spain, Lega Regionale delle Cooperative e Mutue from Italy, Germany There are 9 institutions and organizations from 5 countries, including DEULA-Nienburg GmbH from Turkey and the European Federation of Conservation Agriculture from Belgium.
At the meeting held in Cordoba – Spain, the partner institutions and organizations in our project; By making a presentation, he also explained the studies and good practices related to sustainable agriculture. A presentation was made by our Provincial Directorate, which is the project coordinator institution, about the aims and objectives of the project, the roles and responsibilities of the partners, and the planned activities. Consultations were held on issues such as the development of cooperation between the partners, the formation of new sectoral networks, learning on-site good practices in agricultural production, and determining the activities to be carried out in the project. At the meeting, the participants made group work for the SWOT ANALYSIS (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) in sustainable agriculture at the international level by taking the opinions and views of the participants, and the results were reported and preparations were made for our next activity.
Additionally, the University of Cordoba was visited and the vice-rector and Erasmus+ coordinator were met. The RABANELES farm located within the University campus managed by the University of Cordoba was also visited. Within the farm, the project participants were informed about Conservative Agriculture activities (direct sowing, soil cover crop applications, sprayers, tillage tools, soil organic matter increasing applications, etc.). In addition, machinery and equipment used in Conservative Agriculture were introduced, and direct sowing was practiced in the field.
Transnational Project Meeting – hosted by the Spanish partner of our project, University of Cordoba, has been successfully completed. The fact that our host partner and partner institutions have successful national and international studies in the field related to our project has contributed greatly to our project and will continue to do so.
The work done on our project is also shared on our project’s social media accounts (Instagram: livingsoils_project, Facebook: Living Soils) and on the websites of partner institutions.
By our project, it is aimed to create a cooperation network between countries that have successful studies on sustainable agriculture, to ensure the exchange and dissemination of good practices by sharing new ideas and methods, to improve the institutional capacities of all partners by operating at a transnational level, and to contribute to the professional development of technical personnel and farmers in the sector.
