Transnational Project Meeting of our project named “Sustainable Agriculture and Life & Living Soil”, which is being carried out under the coordination of our Provincial Directorate within the scope of Erasmus+ Vocational Education Strategic Partnership projects, was hosted by our Belgian partner European Federation of Conservative Agriculture (ECAF). It was held between 25 March 2022.

In the project coordinated by Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry; There are 8 institutions and organizations in 5 countries, namely Turkey, Spain, Italy, Germany and Belgium. 17 people attended the meeting hosted by the European Conservation Agriculture Federation (ECAF) in Brussels, Belgium.

At the meeting, among the studies and good practices related to sustainable agriculture by our partners in our project; ‘Pesticide Usage Principles and Optimization in Sustainable and Protective Agriculture’, ‘Works to Increase Organic Matter in Soils’, ‘Development and Use of Decision Support Systems (DDS) to Optimizing Sustainability Management Systems for Soil Fertility and Environment’, ‘Correct in Plant Products in Sustainable Agriculture’ Presentations were made on “Use of Alternation System”.

A presentation on ‘Soil Cover Plant Use in Perennial Plants’ was also made by the European Conservative Agriculture Federation (ECAF), the host partner of our project in Belgium. In addition, in order to learn on-site good practices in agricultural production, applied training on sustainable agriculture studies was held at the Interra farm of Syngenta, one of the world’s leading companies with more than 28,000 employees in more than 90 countries, located in Ittre, Belgium. At the end of the Transnational project meeting in Belgium, a book preparation study was conducted by taking the ideas and opinions of the participants about our project book, which will include at least 3 examples of good practices for sustainable and protective agriculture from each country. The fact that our host partner and partner institutions have direct national and international successful studies in the field related to our project has contributed greatly to our project and will continue to do so.

The work done on our project is also shared on our project’s social media accounts (Instagram: livingsoils_project, Facebook: Living Soils) and on the websites of partner institutions.

With our project, it is aimed to create a cooperation network between countries that have successful studies on sustainable agriculture, to ensure the exchange and dissemination of good practices by sharing new ideas and methods, to develop the institutional capacities of all partners by operating at a transnational level, to contribute to the professional development of technical personnel and farmers in the sector.
