Agriculture, which, in its simplest definition, is the “processing of the soil”, has grown over the years in this sense. Agriculture is the most basic source of food for the growing world population. Agriculture does not only meet our food needs. Agriculture also provides the welfare of farmers and society; the management of various physical and biological environments such as soil health, water resources and bio-diversity; the welfare of this workforce with a large workforce; It covers the whole of economic and ecological systems. Therefore, sustainability of agriculture is of great importance. As a result of intensive agricultural production, serious deterioration in the soil structure has started in agricultural lands in recent years. In addition, climate change and its effects are an important global problem that is being observed more frequently today. is in. Agriculture is the sector most affected by climate change. Especially in countries located in the Mediterranean basin, including Italy, Spain and Turkey, the effects of climate change on agricultural production are much greater. In the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), there were warnings that the Mediterranean could be the center of climate change in the future. In these warnings; stresses that the predicted increase in temperature will put more pressure on areas such as agriculture and animal husbandry, fisheries and tourism in the region. Especially in recent years, natural disasters such as floods, fires and droughts on a global scale threaten the entire ecosystem and human life; There is an increase in the incidence, impact and duration of these disasters. Climate change is no longer an environmental problem, but a direct problem of ensuring the sustainability of human life. In order to ensure the living standards of future generations, it is now inevitable to take the necessary measures against climate change in our agricultural production in national and international cooperation.
